The National Defence Academy (NDA) examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for candidates who aspire to join the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force through the National Defence Academy.
NDA is conducted twice every year – NDA 1 and NDA 2. NDA 1 is generally conducted during the first half of the year, making it an important opportunity for students preparing for a career in the Armed Forces.

🎯 Who Can Apply for NDA?
Candidates who meet the prescribed age, educational qualification and other eligibility requirements can apply for NDA.
Army Wing: 12th Class pass or appearing
Air Force & Naval Wings: 12th Class pass or appearing with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
Candidates must satisfy the age and other conditions specified in the official UPSC notification.

📚 NDA 1 Exam Pattern
The written examination consists of two papers:
1. Mathematics – 300 Marks
2. General Ability Test (GAT) – 600 Marks
Total – 900 Marks
Candidates who qualify in the written examination are called for the SSB Interview, where their personality, leadership potential and Officer-Like Qualities are assessed.
